Topic: Problems installing multimedia/workman on amd64 HP Laptop

Hello from Sweden.
I am a newbie at FreeBSD (10.1 amd64). Have almost 2 weeks of experience now.
I was trying to get sound to work on my old HP DV6 Laptop and wanted to test quick with an audio cd.
From the Handbook got the advice to install workman but workman is dependent on xview and there is no 64-bit xview in the ports!! Strange! Is there another way to install workman? I have seen some problems here and there with the ports, is that usually the case or is it more at the moment?
I have now got working sound! Installed Xfce and vlc and sound must have worked right away!!

Re: Problems installing multimedia/workman on amd64 HP Laptop

I answer myself here!
It´s ok with vlc but I have 2 problems.
1. I can share files over network. (Mac OS X Yosemite on Mac-mini act as server) I can´t listen to music over the network though! It starts but stops after about a second. Do I need to tune the network or is it permissions?
2. I have music-files on a partition in ntfs filesystem. After a lot of reading I can mount ntfs manually but fstab will not accept anything given so far. I there a good tutorial, guide or something for 10.1?
